Concepts Over the past few years my work has involved the viewer in an increasing role. My initial interest lay in investigating a subject matter that evoked individual responses for the viewer. These subsequently influenced the way I approached the making of '24 Hour Rhythm and Rhyme'. More recently the viewer has become the maker and I merely facilitate the work. This has opened up new possibilities for future work. Trying to balance materials with meaning to create a narrative allowing for multiple interpretations are central concerns for me. I seek to constantly extend my own knowledge of materials, build on my existing skills and provide opportunities for others to participate in a creative process.Influences My Italian background with its customs and traditions has often been my reference point.Career path 2002 MA, Fine Art, Falmouth College of Arts 1988 PGCE Art Teachers' Certificate, Goldsmiths College, London 1985 BA Hons Degree, Fine Art (First Class), Falmouth School of Art 2000 Year of the Artist Award, South West Arts Currently I am involved in collaborative projects, working alongside other artists, often from different art forms. read full statement
