Artist

Moira Lovell is an art photographer and a senior lecturer in photography at Southampton Solent University. She has an MA Photography from the London College of Communication and BA (Hons) Photography from the Kent Institute of Art & Design.

In 2007 Moira was awarded the Jerwood Photography Prize for her series The After School Club, which also won one of the Magenta Foundation Flash Forward prize for emerging photographers. In 2008 she produced a body of work for the Pavilion Commissions programme which went on show at the National Media Museum. Moira is currently working on a long-term project supported by The National Media Museum Bursary 2008.

Moira's work is held by national collections and is regularly exhibited nationally and internationally.
