Making Axisweb even better

Making Axisweb even better The new Discover section on Axisweb

We've been refining and improving our website over the last few months. Mark Smith, our Head of Finance and Business Development, tells us more

It’s been an exciting couple of months at Axisweb.

In response to your feedback and our own web analytics, we’ve been prioritising our technical developments. We decided to focus on making the opportunities section work better for our members, improving the user experience of ‘Discover’ and undertaking some under-the-bonnet modifications to improve the performance of the site.

We’re pretty happy with the results.

Getting opportunities working for you

Having so many good opportunities on our site means that it can take longer for you to find the right calls. So we’ve introduced an interface to customise the display of opportunities and create an email alert.

Members - set your opportunities preferences and start receiving email alerts >

That’s not all. We’ve also rebuilt the keyword search functionality and introduced new filters to assist with finding that one opportunity relevant to you.

Oh and one more thing… we’ve redesigned the post an opportunity process by making it easier to submit a call with a few extra tools that target the right artists and art professionals.

Discover more on Axisweb

We hold our hands up - the ‘Discover’ section of our site wasn’t quite right! But if you check it out now, we hope you’ll agree that it’s a huge improvement.

It’s got a new search and filter facility that literally sticks with you, bigger images, options to show one work per member or works for sale, prominent ‘share’ buttons, quicker load times and no more clicking to load images. Instead they load automatically as you scroll down the page.

We know it’s not perfect yet, but we’ve more plans in the pipeline and things are definitely looking promising. ‘Discover’ went live in October and we’ve already seen activity increase 85%.
