We Value the Arts

With the threat of cuts in government funding looming large for the arts (and many other sectors in the UK) Axis Chief Executive Sheila McGregor talks to Radio New Zealand about what this will mean. We also introduce the I Value The Arts campaign through which you can pledge your support of the arts.

Lynn Freeman from Radio New Zealand got in touch with Axis after seeing our article on the UK arts funding cuts. She invited our Chief Executive Sheila McGregor onto her on her Sunday afternoon arts show to talk about the impact of the proposed cuts to arts funding.

I Value the Arts

Axis is working with many other arts organisations to support and promote the value of the arts and to oppose the cuts.

The National Campaign for the Arts has set up a campaign to gather public support to show the decision makers that the arts are vital and valued.
