Exhibitions Curator - Arnolfini
Nav Haq is Exhibitions Curator at Arnolfini in Bristol, England. He curated the 3rd Contour Biennial for Video Art, Belgium, in summer 2007, and was also recently a Guest Editor at Book Works, London, for whom he has edited a short series of artists’ books. He was previously the curator at Gasworks in London. Haq is also the co-curator (with Tirdad Zolghadr) of the ongoing exhibition and research project Lapdogs of the Bourgeoisie, investigating the subject of class hegemony in contemporary art. He developed his curatorial approach through professional experiences at organisations including the Whitechapel Gallery, London, and Spike Island, Bristol. He is a curatorial advisor for the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi planned for 2013, and also for the recently opened Iberia Art Center, Beijing. Haq has contributed to numerous international art journals including Art Review, Bidoun, frieze, and Yishu: Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art.
