Heath Bunting, Rope Swings, 2008
Guest speaker: Heath Bunting
Artist-in-Residence: Jon Adams
At: Le Cafe Parisien, Lord Montgomery Way, Portsmouth
Discussion After not being able to make a previous Cafe Artistique on account of being arrested at the airport (under the Terrorism Act), Heath Bunting returns. As founder of net.art and sport-art, Heath Bunting exploits and plays with public space - both virtual and physical. He claims to be 'Britain's most important practising artist and The World's most famous computer artist'. Heath Bunting will make a short presentation about his current work, before leading a discussion about using and abusing public space in the name of art. More information on Heath Bunting | | Artist-in-Residence Portsmouth-based Jon Adams 'will create a series of drawings to capture something of the atmosphere of the evening. These drawings created left-handed (I am right-handed) will be in pencil and ink on a variety of papers and torn book pages.' More information on Jon Adams |
