During 2008 we investigated Axis artists' practice and revealed the people behind the art to give an insight into how they make projects happen.

Below, artists, curators and professionals, chart their experience of setting something up -
be it opening a new gallery or working with jellyfish – and also ask the key question: was it worth it?
