Make a donation

Axis is a fantastic resource raising the profile of contemporary art and artists around the world.

You can help support the promotion of contemporary art by donating to Axis. We will use your gift wherever it will make the biggest difference, or you can ask for it to be used to support a specific project. We will let you know the impact your support is having and keep you updated on Axis developments.

Why not consider making a gift to Axis in your Will? If you would like to support us but have other priorities at the moment, a charitable bequest allows you to make a lasting contribution without immediate financial outlay.

You can feel confident that your legacy will make a difference and will be used to support the development of contemporary art and artists.

Financial Benefits

A gift to Axis can be highly tax-effective, as charities are exempt from inheritance tax. When you leave money to a registered charity, this amount will be left out of any Inheritance Tax calculations, so a £10,000 legacy could cost the Chancellor £4,000 and take just £6,000 out of your estate. Bequests to charities could therefore help relieve some of the tax burden from the remainder of your estate.
If you have already made a Will, you can add an addition (codicil) to include additional gifts.

1. If you have already made a will, just let your solicitor know which charity you wish to support.
You don't have to make a new will. If your will is still accurate and up to date, your solicitor can simply add a new section outlining your gift to your chosen charity.

2. If you have not yet made a will, you should contact your solicitor and let him know your intentions.

Remember there are many similar charities, so make a note to include their unique registered charity number in your will, to avoid any subsequent doubt or confusion in carrying out your precise wishes.

Axis's Registered Charity number is 1002841
