Commissioned by PICA - Perth Institute of Contemporary Art, W. Australia for the re-opening of the gallery. 'Gold and Black' refers to the gold mined in Kalgoorlie which made the city prosperous and the black feather refers to the black swans of the Swan River and the fact that all the black swans in the world are descended from these swans
