The image ‘Lost and Found’ was selected from over 400 entries in the City Gallery Open Competition November 2008. This generous sponsorship has resulted in ‘View from this side’ being exhibited.

My entry to the City Gallery competition - a photographic canvas of three gloves, is an image that evolved during the building of the new ‘Highcross’ in early 2008. On many occasions, as I walked to work along Vaughan Way, I found lost gloves on the path or in the gutter – to me an aesthetic remnant of the builders, electricians, glaziers and skilled work force who constructed Leicester’s new and impressive shopping centre. The image hopefully captures a moment of history - a surviving vestige of three anonymous workers.
