A series of five interactive drawings of internet pages.
The drawings are taken from EBay pages. Within EBay you are able to create My EBay, 'collecting' objects that you are interested in purchasing. The pages are snapshots of MyEbay after specific objects have been collected. The chosen objects relate to the existing associations made in the 'Archive'.
Each drawing is created using gold foil scrapper board and etched onto the surface, then scanned to create virtual interactive versions. The distinctive hand made quality that exists in the material versions of each drawing is digitally flattened through scanning.
The five drawings each begin with one of the boat names from the original archive 'harbour'. By hovering the pointer over an object the EBay image will show and when clicked, a text box will display information (taken from search engine results) which links this object to the one below it.
An interactive version of these drawings appear in www.slashseconds.org Issue 3 ISSN 1751-4134 'On Curating' . slashseconds is an online publishing project initiated and edited by Derek Horton and Peter Lewis, designed by Graham Hibbert and supported by an international editorial and advisory board of academics, artists and curators.
