1500 hand-printed reclaimed paper ‘coals’
Carry / send / take / sell coal to Newcastle:
The phrase dates from 1538 when the economy of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in north-eastern England, was heavily dependent upon the distribution of coal STOP Due to it’s abundance, sending coal to such a place was a pointless, fool-hardy venture STOP Today, Newcastle, Australia is the worlds largest exporter of coal STOP And so, I send them coal, 1500 pieces via road, freight, rail and plane STOP I send them something they do not need but have to receive STOP Global extraction rates are rapacious and invasive, altering the balance of the climate future generations will receive, whether they like it or not STOP
