Caroline Wright
Manicure, 2010 - 2012
A re-incarnations of the piece Manicure at Ham House, a National Trust property in South West London. In an attempt to recreate the diamond pattern of the great hall floor of the house, the artist hand cut one of the plats (a large square lawn) over a period of two days. The floor and plats were both set down in the 17th Century and at that time the lawns were cut by hand by a large team of gardeners.
