Caged Tiger, 2011

This is the second in the 'skin series'.
At the heart if this painting is a map of Bangladesh.
The mesh of text in Bengali represents the people and culture. Enslaved in a cage of Bangladeshi bank notes the map resembles the head of a Bengal tiger roaring. Not only does a cage enslave but also contain. From this side of the fence the rich west can keep the poor in their place. We can not touch the money cage without getting our hands bloody and business will always be bloody until the tiger is released.
