THE BOX

The exhibit was three dimensional and is formed of artefacts received collected and assembled with in an old wooden box inherited from my mother. I assembled the box together with the received works. This was displayed on a white plinth with a range of artefacts in and outside the box. For me it represented the memories and collective responses of hidden away secrets which women were re-discovering and examining at this time. As I assembled the work I intended the work to be a positive celebration of this.’ Diane Roberts 2011
