Clement Cooper

Work on SISTERS A Celebration of British Female Muslim Identity began in 2002. One whole year after 9/11. It was during this period that Cooper began questioning his long held, incorrect assumptions regarding ISLAM, in-particular women's rights within the faith.

SISTERS explores the complex issue of Hijab expressly from the point of view of young Muslimah in the North West of England.

Since 2005, the show has gone onto tour the UK, the Middle East, South East Asia and Russia.
