Tweave, 2011

Created by Amy Houghton and Ed Holroyd. Commissioned by Craftspace.

Tweave maps sound recordings of craft and making to create an evolving thread of sounds. Visitors to Tweave can browse the map by dragging and zooming to see the thread change. Then click ‘Play’ to listen to the recordings.

Anyone can participate in Tweave by uploading their own recordings. Tweave welcomes any contributions that record the sounds, conversations and discussions which contribute to, radiate from and surround the process of making.

Tweave was commissioned to run alongside Taking Time: Craft and the Slow Revolution, a touring exhibition from Craftspace curated with Helen Carnac.
