Found material from London pavements organised by colour and titled using the phonetic alphabet.James Lovelock commented, when asked by NASA, that signs of human life can be detected by waste matter discarded. I notice vast amounts of waste in our materialistic society from unused buildings to unused food, clothing and possessions and unwanted people. Collectively the industrialised nations use vast amounts of natural renewable and unrenewable resources for unnecessary and dangerous purposes and then dispose of them with little regard for ecosystems.I have always looked at people, their expressions and actions and until one communicates with them there is no way of telling what is in their minds or determines their actions. You cannot judge a person by their outward appearance. I am aware of the increasing number of redundant people, unwanted, unloved, uncared for and unhoused who are understandably psychologically unhealthy due to past experiences and upbringing. I seek to comment on the values in our society where materialistic values appear to matter more than philantropic values. My art is political and raw,and although appearing naive, is the outcome of my extensive thoughts about my experiences and human values. It is a Jungian archetype.
