Ecotype, - 2011

Part of a body of work exploring the impact of human activity on nature. ‘Ecotype’ represents millions of life forms, whose survival is endangered through the inability to adapt to the speed of environmental change.

The piece combines environmentally friendly papers with those whose production impacts the environment. Some of the papers are waxed and gessoed for protection. The printer paper is covered in quotations and words associated with protecting biodiversity.

84 x 50 x 26 cm

Lokta paper, Mitsumata paper, printer paper, paper yarn, wax, gesso
