Green Plot, 2011

GREEN PLOT took place on Sunday 26 June, as part of Camberwell Arts Week.

GREEN PLOT was a gathering, an alternative structure for future actions, spreading a verdant revolution for change & resistance.

As a member of This Happy Band I performed 'WoodLouse', 'Mermaids Sing In The Sea At Margate', and Elevator Man.

An open invitation was extended for people to join in and add their voices to: GREEN PLOT Speakers Corner, the convention of banners and placards and a shared picnic.

Individuals and groups were encouraged to bring instruments, their placards & banners, leaflets and propaganda, to share in the afternoon gathering.

GREEN PLOT was facilitated by artistic collectives, individuals, and by other groups who are actively fighting cuts while exploring real cultural alternatives. These include: Arts Against Cuts, Communist Gallery TV, This Happy Band and Fold.
