ENTRANCES marked the launch of the collaborative partnership Nedregard & Hillary. Moray Hillary and Agnes Nedregard were invited by Acme to exhibit at Acme Project Space, Bethnal Green, based on a two month residency at Acme Firestation in 2010. The exhibition was an attempt to merge sculptural work, paintings and performance art into an exhibition in flux. Live performances marked the beginning and ending of a transformation, leaving traces and interacting with the more static work, which in turn also changed throughout the duration of the exhibition. The work was put together especially for the space and the context of Acme project space - with a raft as the centerpiece, made by materials sourced in the local vicinity, loaded with older and new work, and used as a site for performance. The sail of the raft was made up by pages from 'Don Quixote', exemplifying the topic of questioning objective and subjective perceptions of reality. The exhibition was supported by NABROAD, who produced an online catalogue presenting the Nedregard & Hillary collaboration.See www.nabroad.org - ENTRANCESSupported by:Acme,NABROAD,The Norwegian Embassy (London),Bergen City Council
