Rosalie Schweiker

This work started with eight whittled wooden figures, illustrating a story in which a first-person female narrator describes a fantasy. The narrator clumsily describes how her work attracts a man who then (after some difficulties) impregnates her and buys the young family a house in Berlin.

The story was turned into a film by artist Sonia Boyce in 2010.
