Rose Rose

This is another work using 'assembled' language. It is also mimetic of presenting ethnographic findings - a type of quasi-anthroplogical idea [which runs through the OPAQUE series].It is a highly personal piece about ancestral history and nomadic genealogy and related to the Linga-Franca series.
The hybrid infusion of found objects presents a figure an 'an archetype' thrown across a ' divide'. There are historical references in the form of 'clues' to composition overall. Silk cocoons from China and a DNA plastic model are juxtaposed around a piece of ancient English oak and wollen skeins ,with a reference to a Blood Group 'Type B-Neg.' hidden in Scrabble Letters.
