Wall piece for Here Lies Art, Nunhead Cemetery, London.
Made in response to the graveyards historical use as a place for courting couples; local pub patrons would be able to tell who had been canoodling amongst the tombstones as the ladies would have moss stains on their skirts, which made actual prints of inscriptions – formed by rubbing against the headstones!
