There is a power struggle for control of the bodies of everyday people. Who is in charge? Victorian mill owners imposed endless petty rules on workers newly transferred from cottage industry to mill working. Workers were
considered expendable but without them could the machinery have turned day and night?

People are still controlled. Those outside the norm are labelled ‘other’ and are discarded, shunned, despised. Identities are socially constructed through age, class, disability, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexuality... and size.

8 years, 4 events, many people watching, bringing their own perceptions of how discrimination works.
