NARRATOLOGY: Winged book (detail 1), - 2011

Deconstructed and reconstructed. Transformation. A book installation in 3 parts. One of the books bears life, the other takes wing and the third does not end.

Front image: A ruined copy of the Book of Common Prayer found rotted, mouse-eaten and falling apart in a derelict building. There is something majestic about the quality of its language, and it is such a tiny, fragile thing. Although it cannot be used as book anymore, it takes flight and soars.
