Amelia Crouch

A short video exploring the physical and linguistic barriers that people construct around themselves. Tracking shots of fences are combined with a soundtrack using the 'readymade' language of proverbs. Coupling a familiar language with a familiar landscape, the piece is meditation upon everyday circumstances. It presents a position of being simultaneously at home with these objects and uneasy of the divisions and proscriptions they suggest.
