Dress with repeat pattern, 2010

This piece explore the notion of residue left in the clothes we wear.

Using woven name tape, in abundance, as a strong signifier of the identity of the wearer, a name, a story constructed over a life-time. The imagined story, hand stitched in woven tape in the interior of the garment is repeated over and over.

260cm x 79cm x 69cm

Reclaimed garment, woven cotton tape, silk thread, steel rod
