FAO are Preparing for a Journey
This collection of works was made on a three month residency at Aberystwyth Arts Center, Wales.
We began the residency by reading tea leaves. We looked for symbols messages and answers. Amongst the predictions of a tank, an angel, a dancing woman, we saw that, we (FAO) must prepare for a journey. In this preparation we looked to the birds for a signal, capturing the flight of flocking starlings in a mirror on Aberystwyth pier, an activity that seemed to hold answers. These works were intuitive following an sign or lead from whatever the previous activity held or left.
In this series of works and documented actions you can see FAO preparing for the journey, reading the tea leaves and capturing the birds.
