Telephone, 2010

I walked with my children along the same routes to and from school for eight years. Manhole covers, cracks in the pavement, petals, leaves and other materials I came across on these and other walks inspired me to create a body of work called the Pavement Works Collection. Started in 1998, to date the collection consists of over twenty works in eight categories.

Telephone is part of the Utilities category. It was inspired by the double manhole covers often found outside Post Offices.
