Sophia Dawson

A sound installation paying homage to John Cage.  In 3'33" seemingly dissociated sounds question the compatability, or lack of it, between sound and object. The sound emantes through two metal watering can roses while a third, threaded with horsehair, remains silent. Together the choice of materials evoke a layering of meaning in a "delicate, complex, uplifting and thoughtful work".
