Breath forms part of a series of photographic and video works which explore the fluctuating and infinitely permeable surface of Coniston Water through issues of biology, the body's pulses and the uncanny. 'In all rivers and oceans', writes Herman Melville in Moby Dick, 'is the image of the ungraspable phantom of life; and this is the key to to it all.'
