Judith Alder

The Golden Seed installation consists of a text as a sound recording and printed booklet; a reflective growing chamber with grow-light and fans; a tree, and five cast 18ct gold seeds.

Stemming from my recent research concerning contemporary bio-science and genetic modification, the work reflects on the difficult questions raised by the power of science and the notion of human fallibility, selfishness, greed and obsession.
