All the worlds [seeing you see me], 2010

This piece and it's sister one, both include source material from 2 research trips to Linz, Austria, as part of a Liverpool-Linz artist exchange I co-founded with Merseyside based artist-led group POST.
Both pieces were included in the Global Studios exhibition at the Bluecoat in June 2010, and will be featured in a forthcoming publication of the same name published by Bluecoat press.

This work continues to examining masks and mask wearing as an attempt to restore a sense of mystery, and explore the importance of the unknown and unfamiliar as a space for the imagination. I propose hiddenness as necessity; a survival tactic; and even something empowering that can reverse power structures.

Suddenly the subject can watch you without being seen.
