Conceptional Artwork, 2004 - 2005

A collaborative piece made with Amanda Wray that celebrated the birth of our boy.

There are a number of mirror mosaic spheres which represent human eggs in various stages of development and a mirror mosaic foetus, all of which are suspended from mirror ball motors, so they rotate. There is a flight of 20 robo-sperms, each of which has a rotating spiral tail and a flashing xenon front part in a selection of colours. All these items are suspended from either the ceiling or a framework depending on where the piece is installed.

A number of spot lamps are directed at the pieces, so the effect is a kind of disco conception.

There is also a smiling face, there is now a second mirror mosaic face soon.

This piece was the first of a series Amanda and I seem to be producing based on our personal experience of family life.
