Pedal powered kinetic piece depicting the inherent romance of a boating trip in a humorous way.

The idea was partly inspired by the boat itself, which is the remains of an old hire boat, made in Oxford about 100 years ago, I imagined all the romantic scenes it had experienced in it's years afloat. I got it from a friend who had been meaning to do it up for 15 years or so, but really it was too far gone to repair.

When a gallery visitor pedals the exercise bike various features on the boat are animated, legs and arms move, hearts get in a spin, breasts ring and so forth.
