'This Work' is a small wall based text next to an empty space, suggestive of the descriptive texts found next to significant works of art, which pictures the impact of a work that isn’t there. It hints at the quasi-religious/ metaphysical nature how we wish to experience art, and yet confronts the seeming absurdity of such a wish in a context in which the vagaries of spirituality are beyond the pale. It is melancholic for a lost belief in the transformative potential of art.
