Chasing Rainbows, 2008

This work was commissioned by Selfridges for the Wonder Window Gallery at Selfridges, Oxford Street, in 2008, curated by ROLLO Contemporary Art.

Four windows housed a series of works composed of torn coloured polythene bags suspended from threads to create intersecting geometric blocks, with butterflies appearing to burst through the forms, disrupting their precision.

250cm x 350cm x 60cm approx

Torn polythene from shopping bags and rubbish bags, butterflies, nylon, acrylic, lead, fishing hooks
