This painting was acquired by the Trustees of House for an Art Lover, Glasgow for their permanent collection in January 2010.

In the quiet Dumfriesshire hills, small tin huts and stone bothies are still used by shepherds and walkers, adding layers of history and meaning to the lonely uplands.
