From 1997 to 1998 I was appointed Durham Cathedral Artist in Residence. I developed a body of drawings combining drawn imagery with photographs. I have used graphite, charcoal, pastel and ink in these works. There are seven large drawings in this series and ten small ink drawings. Much of the inspiration came from the sacred architecture of the cathedral. Only two works remain unsold and these 'North Transept' and 'Cloisters'.
