In 2007 I was selected by Insite Arts, art consultants to Hammerson PLC, to undertake a commission in Leicester city centre. The brief was to create art works for 10 large scale integral glass light boxes, along three elevations, in the new High Cross retail development. I was Inspired by the design detail of knitting samples preserved on traditional knitting frames exhibited at the Framework Knitters Museum in Wigston. This design has been translated as three series of different colour schemes for each building elevation with an integrated lighting programme.
