The book is made to raise awareness of women in Aberdeen suffering abuse of all kinds, inspired by one drop-in centre and safe house in particular.

The photograph shown here is from a performance by the artist where she was painted with butter icing. It makes reference to violence against women: 'caked with make-up to hide bruising'; ' wearing a mask and it slipping'; 'putting a face on' etc
