Observer Observed marks the result of an active process of collaboration between artists CJ Mahony and Katherine Hymers. Informed by both Mahony's practice which is centred around installation and sculpture, and Hymers' utilisation of the body as a presence and a tool to engage with a viewer, Observer Observed defies definition by one genre alone. Instead, it exists somewhere between an installation and a site specific performance, placing the viewer at its centre, as activator and witness.
