Positive Emptiness, 2007

Taking the presence of two human bodies this sculpture is made up of two halves of a whole. The resin half is a direct mirror match to the rough quarry hewn surface of the limestone. If contact were made the two pieces would form a perfect union: body and soul, male and female. But they are not united, there is a tension between them as if they were once together and could be so again.
