The Visual Arts in Rural Communities residency has been a year of collecting and interpreting information about the local landscape and calendar of local events. Raffle Tickets and Midges is the final exhibition of a body of work produced during the whole year and was exhibited at Highgreen Studio before going on tour by bike to Newcastle. In 2009 the suitcase has been exhibited in Place, Identity and Memory at Gracefields Arts Centre in Dumfries. The bookcase was chosen as one of the works for the Northern Print Biennale on show at the Hatton Gallery in Newcastle. Raffle Tickets adn Midges will also be represented at the Impact Print Conference in Bristol.
