Elaine Tribley

Silenced Memories, 2007

Tribley authors a multitude of suggestive fictions through the briefest of statements. Hidden in corners, and behind doors, her sentences appear like secret confessions, alluding to sensations of guilt and self-doubt. Made from cut vinyl, Tribley adopts the artificial qualities of her medium to enhance a psychological landscape where intimate sentiments of desire and longing are rendered as anonymous and detached.
