Dungbeetle and Sisyphus / working progress for the performance, 2008

This is a collection of working progress documentations which I gathered together because I think they make for great images in themselves. Documenting the process of arriving at the finishing line is becoming of increasing interest to me. The process stages will in the future become more and more an integral part of the finished work and presentation. I tend to work in a repetitive and enduring manner and that certainly is a part of the finished art project that I want to present, too. For sale are still photographs as well as films on dvd with a small presentation case. The prices are quoted for photographic prints. Please contact me if you are interested in several pieces or in performance artefacts and / or filmed works. About the project: Searching for inherent purpose in daily activities. The Artist uses Mythological Characters, animals and Folk Tale Protagonists and brings them together in a place they have never met before. This could be a conversation, a play, a dialogue or monologue, but Birgit Deubner creates an unusual performance for the public realm, for an unsuspecting audience.
