The Moulting, 2003

A man. A faun. An absent woman.

The Moulting is a tale of gender crossing.

Fierce love needs to possess the object of desire. The ultimate form of possession is transforming into this object. The supreme form of this transformation in love is gender crossing. The woman loved the man so fiercely to moult her appearance and mutate into that of him. As she reveals her new masculine body underneath her skin, a cry is uttered onto the floor in the form of a bloodstained hanger, new bearer of it.

But while still transforming, s-he, has already become in their turn, the object of desire for someone else. A concupiscent faun is greedily looking at the wo-man. Which of the two sides - masculine or feminine does it like better? Unknown.
