A Cumulus is part of my current research and development project, 'Open Pores: Scrutiny of the Self through 'Portraiture''. It will be a composite work comprising of large and small scale mixed media drawings of myself.

I am interested in the process and physicality of making the work, and use 'symbolic' media as part of the concept. The work is more about process and expression than likeness.
