At the chosen location where the action is to be carried out install a still camera onto a tripod and set the camera so the desired view is arranged accordingly in the viewfinder. At this point make a mental note of any objects or landmarks that lie at the boundary of the picture field. Programme the camera drive to operate via a timing mechanism with a duration of ten seconds. Move around to the front of the camera so you are within range of the lens and sufficiently far enough away from the camera that the shutter button can be reached at arm’s length. When ready press the shutter release activating the timer. At this point you should attempt to move, unaided, as far away as possible from the camera in the direction the lens is aiming and remaining within the picture field at all times. After ten seconds the camera will record the progress made.
